Perth Turf Talk is excited to announce the inaugural Perth Racing Puntathon which will take place in the PR.com Lounge on Saturday March 20.

Three teams will go head to head in the quest to be crowned the Perth Racing Ascot Puntathon champions.

Racing Radio, Perth Turf Talk and Perth Racing will provide three teams of fifty players each that will wager on gallops races from 11 am until the last race from Ascot.

Each team member must place one $15 bet on a gallops race in this time frame and also partake in a $250 local quadrella.

The team with the highest amount of money after the last race from Ascot will be deemed the winning team and carry off the special perpetual trophy plus bragging rights.

The cost is $50 to enter and each ticket has a $20 wagering component, 3 x beers or glasses of wine, finger food throughout the day, race course and lounge admission and race book.

Also, throughout the day there will be special bonus prize giveaways.

At days end, each team member will be paid a dividend from the accumulated balance of each team.

Some big racing is set to take place on March 20 with the running of the Group 3 Hyperion Stakes, the Listed Supremacy, Raconteur Stakes and the Listed 1000 Guineas.

At Rosehill there will be seven Group races contested with the Group 1 Coolmore Classic and the Group 1 Ranvet Stakes will be the highlights.
