Sky Racing and the TAB will expand its broadcasting and wagering coverage of UK jumps racing in coming months, leading into the globally renowned Cheltenham and Aintree festivals. A positive response from customers has led to Tabcorp expanding its UK jumps coverage. In February, Sky Racing and the TAB will cover races from the following jumps meetings in the UK, offering both TAB Fixed Odds (all races on Victorian TAB and selected races on NSW TAB) and TAB Tote Odds: “We’ve received good feedback from Sky Racing viewers and TAB punters for our UK jumps racing coverage,” said Tabcorp’s General Manager of Wagering Marketing, Ian Mackay. “UK jumps racing offers something quite different for our customers and what we are showcasing in coming weeks and months is jumps racing at the elite level. “Last Saturday, Sky Racing viewers were able to watch Punchestowns ($1.50 SuperTAB, $1.60 NSW TAB) win again over the fences and claim the Totepool Challengers Novices' Chase. He is now favourite for the RSA Chase at Cheltenham, which we will showcase as part of our coverage of the Cheltenham Festival.” This Saturday’s Newbury jumps meeting is its bumper Super Saturday card, featuring the Aon Chase and the Game Spirit Chase. The Ascot meeting on Saturday week features the Grade One Ascot Chase, one of Ascot’s best established jumps races, which is often a final outing for horses contesting some of the Cheltenham Festival features. In mid-March Sky Racing and the TAB will broadcast and wager on the famous Cheltenham Festival. The four day coverage underscores Tabcorp’s commitment to cover the best jumps racing from the UK each season. The Aintree Race Festival will be the focus in April, which features the world-famous Grand National. TABCORP PRESS RELEASE, 10/02/2010 |
